Seeing the forum, the response on some thread is just too slow. Also I often check gamedev.net forum, seems like only a handful of people know this engine.
It’s still in beta. There hasn’t been any marketing for Paradox yet, because of said reason.
Once the final rolls out I’m sure the forum will gather more members, as people find out what an amazing engine this is. A lot of current Paradox-users (including myself) are power users, that know their way around the source code to find answers to technical questions. Other questions are usually pretty quickly addressed by the development team, on the forums, answers, GitHub Issues and Gitter. Taking in consideration the amount of topics that are active, the current state of the engine, and the amount of time the dev team spends on it, I’d say the forum response time, is fine.
so you mean that on its current state, Its not a good decision to try this for beginners?Should I wait for the stable release?
The nice thing about Paradox is that it’s a great engine both for beginners and advanced users. It’s up to you if you want to use the high-level API Paradox offers, like the scene editor, Entity system, etc. There are plenty of sample projects that are a great start for beginners. Even though it’s officially in Beta, I haven’t experienced any major issues.
