How can import the origin point of model. I changed origin point of model and after import from .3ds, or .dae it is not imported. Origin point after importing it is zero point on my system.
Not sure if I understood the question properly, but it seems to be more of an export problem from your modeling software, right?
In that case, if Paradox had an option to offset center of a Model, that would help, right?
Yes, if paradox had an option to change origin point it will help.
But opportunity for export origin point from the modeling apps (*blend,*3ds, *dae …) it is very helpful opportunity.
First variant:
It is origin on blender:
It is origin on paradox editor after import from .dae.:
Second variant:
on blender:
on paradox after import:
But if I export blend file to dae or 3ds, and import back to blender - origin point placed on right place.
I think we need place model to center of world, and we have right result:
on blender:
on paradox after import:
I remember Maya and Max have a “Export selected”, which I suppose take center of selected object.
But I don’t remember blender having something like that, so maybe that’s why such an offset would be much more needed when using Blender.
Yes blender has this option too. But it is not worked for origin of the exported model.
Paradox use the world origin for export.
See example:
Blender scene:
Paradox scene after impord *.dae

If I export from blender to collada and import to blender again it is worked. The origin is saved on right place.
I think, maybe, the blender exporter for calculate the origin point used difference between transformations of model and vertices coordinates of model.
