Anyone interested in a Game Jam?

Not sure if we have enough people for this, but we could vote for an idea or I could just pick one at random. There are a few reasons that I think this would be a great idea. First game jams are fun! It’ll give us some publicity too which will help the community grow, and we could show that paradox can be used to create a game from start to finish. Which I think would generate more interest in paradox. We would probably want to wait to start the game jam once the new version of paradox has been released.

A few requirements might be:

  1. Use Paradox3D
  2. 1 entry per developer/team

Perhaps as a prize maybe the paradox team would be willing to post the winner on their blog? We can setup a vote somewhere so the community votes for the winners as well or the paradox team, if willing, can vote for the winner.

What do you guys think?

To show anyone that Paradox is capable of creating complete project, you can just wait 'till someone will finish their work and show something. I dont think that jam can provide proof of complex projects existing under Paradox.

It doesn’t have to be a complex project though, even a simple game would be awesome. Game jams are extremely popular in the indie community and a lot of really cool games have been created from them. I think it’ll help the community grow for sure.

Just as an example our first game jam could be a simple pong game. It’s up to the developer though to how he wants to spice it up.

There doesn’t seem to be enough interest in this, so I’ll revisit it later on.

Lets return to this after great update coming!

I don’t think a small group of people is a problem for a game jam at all. The point is to have fun, meet new people, and experiment with new things. I would enjoy even a small Paradox game jam!

Since our scene editor is out, just wanted to check how many people would be interested in a Game Jam? (could either take part of a bigger one, or a Paradox only one organized here)

then I am interested

I am interested as well.

I’m also interested.
