Hello! Guys, explain to me please about the release and price information. In recent news, the developers wrote about the fact that they will make a paid subscription (“We are planning to switch to a monthly subscription model with several tiers (education, indie, etc.)”)
However, in the next paragraph, they wrote the following - "The tier intended for indies will be free to use"
What does it mean? For indie developers it will be free? That is, any subscription for indie developers will not have to register?
I would like to stay on it and make awesome games, but if he paid, then I will have to leave you…

I think you will have always to register some account. Just like you do with Unity. Even if you use the free version.

And regarding the “free”. It’s a “free to use”. If you don’t pay a subscription, then you are not supposed to have access. However, the “free to use” can allow you to use the engine even with out a paid subscription.

So, I think it’s going to be just like with Unity. They will introduce an annual income threshold for the free to use. With Unity its 100K a year. If you earn less than that, you could even sell the game without paying for the engine.

No problem.

And please note, in case you haven’t noticed already. With Unity, it’s 100K a YEAR, not a month. I wrote a month, but that was a horrible mistake. Sorry, fast typing.

To be honest I switch to this engine from Unity just because it is C#. So I hope they some what follow the unity business model but then again there are things I dont like about Untiy Lic. like not having a “Team Lic.” anymore kind of messed up our business model for Thou Curator.
